I'm an average Joe from small-town Wisconsin. I've been trading futures for more than three years, and I still haven't landed my first prop firm payout.

I've bought evaluations from Apex, Take Profit Trader, and Tradeify. I've passed several, then blown the funded accounts before ever reaching a payout, and learned most of the rules the hard way: a trailing drawdown I didn't fully understand, a consistency rule that blocked a payout, a daily loss limit I hit on a bad morning.

I built FuturesPropDesk because I was tired of review sites run by people selling courses or chasing affiliate cash. This site is just plain-English rules, honest comparisons, and free tools I wish I'd had when I started. Every rule is dated and checked against each firm's own website.

My day job background is about 20 years in IT, so I like things organized, tested, and accurate. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell me and I'll fix it.

I'm still working toward that first payout. When it happens, you'll hear about it here, along with everything that got me there.
